Inkspots Learning System

A continuation of Humanities

Takem LLC is excited to announce the development of a comprehensive project plan for Madikat Productions, aimed at creating a learning system called Inkspots. This innovative platform will extend creative writing opportunities to high school students, fostering their literary skills and encouraging self-expression. Inkspots will provide a structured yet flexible curriculum, incorporating interactive lessons, peer reviews, and professional feedback to nurture young writers. By leveraging technology and expert guidance, Takem LLC aims to make creative writing accessible and engaging for students, helping them unlock their full potential.

Background:

As the US educational system increasingly prioritizes STEM courses, electives and liberal arts/humanities classes are gradually being sidelined and phased out. In response, Madikat Productions is developing an online learning environment that offers high school credit for courses in the arts and humanities. This initiative aims to provide students with opportunities to express themselves creatively and earn their diplomas, all while complementing the current STEM-focused curriculum.

Objectives:

The project aims to develop a continuous creative writing class. This begins with creating a business case that highlights the demand for creative writing skills and the benefits of fostering creativity. Establishing a technical baseline with the necessary online learning platforms and tools is essential. Research topics will be identified, such as effective teaching methods and the impact of creative writing on cognitive development. Lesson plans will be designed to build writing skills progressively, incorporating diverse genres and opportunities for self-expression. This approach ensures a well-structured and impactful creative writing course.

Phase I: Information Gathering/Research

This phase involves gathering information on the demand for creative writing skills and the benefits of fostering creativity. Research will be conducted on effective teaching methods and the impact of creative writing on cognitive development. The business case will be developed to support the need for the course.

Phase II: Resource/Design

In this phase, the project will focus on establishing the technical baseline with the necessary online learning platforms and tools. Lesson plans will be designed to build writing skills progressively, incorporating diverse genres and opportunities for self-expression. The design will ensure the course is engaging and meets educational standards.

Phase III: Implementation

The implementation phase involves launching the online creative writing course. This includes setting up the online learning environment, enrolling students, and delivering the course content. Continuous support and feedback mechanisms will be established to ensure the course runs smoothly and meets students' needs.

Handoff:

The final phase is the handoff, where the completed course is delivered to students and educators. This includes providing ongoing support and resources to ensure the course's success. Feedback will be gathered to assess the course's impact and identify areas for improvement.
